Packing for Hawaii can be difficult and overwhelming. Here’s a list of all the things you should pack in your suitcase for your trip to Hawaii.

  • IDs
  • Plane tickets
  • Hotel reservation and confirmation
  • Car rental or airport transportation reservation and confirmation
  • Tour and activity booking confirmations

Clothing, Headwear, Footwear

  • T-shirts, tank tops, athletic shorts and walking shorts for going to the beach and hiking.
  • Breathable undergarments and socks.
  • Sleepwear.
  • Swimsuits/swim shorts.
  • Rash guard to protect your arms, back and shoulders from the sun.
  • Comfortable walking shoes that can get dirty.
  • Plain rubber slippers (flip flops) – Nice ones sometimes get stolen on the beach.
  • Water shoes
  • Light jacket for airport, indoors, cooler winter nights.
  • Hat – Preferably one that also covers the back of your neck.
  • Cheap sunglasses – Commonly lost in the ocean.
  • Rain jacket – Not mandatory except for maybe during the winter months.
