Where to Run, Run, Run!
If you’re a runner, Maui is for you. There are beautiful long trails with great views and tough inclines that are perfect for training. Plus, with the state parks and forest reserve, there are several trails that are popular with local runners.
Sugar Beach – If your feet can handle soft sand, this is a super fun run with an ocean view all the way. Roughly about 6 miles and back.
Lahaina Pali Trail – Rocky, high elevation hike with spectacular views. Start early, bring water and whale watch during whale watch season!
Pipiwai Trail to Waimoku Falls – Half hike, half run, this is a great workout as long as you keep pushing yourself. The best part is that waterfall view though!
Extra tip – Maui is a runner’s dream. Check out Haleakala National Park, Poli Poli State Park and the Makawao Forest Reserve for great trails.
