Aloha and welcome to Hawaii!
For those of us who love to travel, Hawaii can most often be found on the top of our bucket list. Whether you’ve never been or you’re a frequent visitor, the magic of Hawaii appeals to us like no other. Is it those trade winds that whisper across your skin when you step out of the plane? Or perhaps that mysterious, barefoot hula dancer with flowers in her hair? Of course, it may just be the plate lunches at Rainbows that keep you coming back for more.
As for me, I love Hawaii. Deeply. It was and still is a fantastic place to grow up and I have learned to appreciate and respect the islands over the years. The mix of people over the generations have created several cultures and sub-cultures that at times can be difficult to wade through. But because of these differences, amazing things have happened here. And I believe it will keep happening for many, many years to come.
I also have a “mini blog” set up for my Mom who is a fantastic cook and over the years has created an arsenal of recipes from Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese and Hawaiian influences. You can visit her section here and let her if you have any questions or requests. I’m sure she’ll be jazzed if she finds out she has fans!
Whatever the reason your love of Hawaii may be, you are in the right place. Besides traveling in my home state, I also love to welcome guests and visitors who for many of them will only visit this paradise just once in their lives. Through this blog, I intend to provide you with the latest need-to-know information, hottest sightseeing spots, travel tips and food reviews to keep you updated and ready to explore our Hawaiian Islands. Keep in touch as we explore these beautiful islands together and uncover the many secrets and gifts that you can only find here.
