Mom and I are busy planning our first recipe post, but in the meantime, I thought I’d give you a taste of what’s in store for you in Aunty Sandy’s Kitchen! Here are some random dishes she’s cooked this past year that I managed to take pictures of.
One of my Dad’s favorites! These oh-so-flaky pastries are filled with a curry stew and Mom only cooks these during the holidays. Instead of cookies and holiday sweets, we give a paper plate filled with curry pastries to our neighbors that’s a huge hit.
Believe it or not, we eat this about twice a month. Why? Because my Mom says it’s so easy to make! And it’s true! The secret to why our sushi is such a crowd-gatherer at parties? It’s the rice.
This was actually originally my Dad’s recipe, but Mom decided to take over when he didn’t make it fast enough. We vacuum package these up and give them out to friends and coworkers as gifts…or we eat it ourselves.
If these pictures have made you begin to salivate, great! Mom and I look forward to sharing in-depth recipes with you on her page, Aunty Sandy’s Kitchen.
